1979

The second World Cup of Cricket History was also held in England itself and it was also in the Robin format. England qualified for the semi-finals by winning three out of 3 matches and Pakistan won two out of 3 matches in Group A. From Group B, West Indies qualified for the semi-finals by winning two out of three matches and New Zealand won two out of 3 matches.

In the first Semifinal, West Indies defeated Pakistan and became the first team to make their place in the final. In the second semi-finals, England defeated New Zealand and became the second team to make it to the finals.

1983

It was a historic World Cup for all Indians, and the Indian team, which performed poorly in both the last World Cups, surprised the whole world in this World Cup. This World Cup was played in the format of a Double Round Robin and this World Cup was also organized by England and Wales.

In the group stage, England and Pakistan had qualified for the semi-finals in group A and West Indies and India qualified for the semi-finals from Group B. In the first Semifinal, England scored 213 runs in the match between India and England. Chasing this target, India confirmed their place in the final by scoring 217 runs in 54.4 overs.

1987

This World Cup was organized in India and Pakistan and this World Cup was also played in a double round-robin format like the previous World Cup. From Group A India and Australia won five matches in 6 matches and made their place in the semi-finals. In Group B, Pakistan and England qualified for the semi-finals. Australia defeated Pakistan by 18 runs in the first semi-finals played between Australia and Pakistan.

In the final, Australia had given a target of 254 runs to England, chasing this England scored only 246 runs and Australia became the world champion for the first time with a close margin of 7 runs.

According to the ODI World Cup Winner List, the fifth World Cup played after two years was hosted by Australia and New Zealand. A total of 9 teams participated in this World Cup and this World Cup was played in the round-robin format. 1996

According to the ODI World Cup Winner List, the sixth World Cup was played between 14 February and 17 March 1996, hosted by India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. A total of 4 teams qualified for the quarter-finals from Group A which included Sri Lanka, Australia, India and the West Indies. South Africa, Pakistan, New Zealand and England qualified for the quarter-finals from Group B.

According to the ODI World Cup Winner List, the 2003 World Cup was hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya. A total of 14 teams participated in this World Cup and like last year the first three teams from the group stage were going to qualify for the Super Six. Australia, India and Zimbabwe qualified from Group A and Sri Lanka, Kenya and New Zealand qualified from Group B.

2007

The ninth Cricket World Cup was organized in the West Indies, this World Cup was played from 13 March to 28 April in which a total of 16 teams participated. There were a total of 51 matches in this World Cup, in which there were 4 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from each group qualified for the Super-8 and the top four teams from the Super-8 qualified for the semi-finals.

According to the ODI World Cup Winner List, the 11th Cricket World Cup was hosted by Australia and New Zealand. A total of 14 teams participated in this World Cup and this World Cup was also similar to the 2011 World Cup. The 12th Cricket World Cup was held in England and Wales. A total of 10 teams participated in this World Cup, in which the first 4 teams of the table qualified for the semi-finals.
