BCCI(Board of Control for Cricket in India) recently announced India’s squad for T20 world cup to be held in Oman and United Arab Emirates. In a surprise move, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal are dropped from the squad. However, Ravichandran Ashwin is called back for white ball cricket after a long time because of his great experience in international cricket.
India T20 Squad for World cup
A total of 15 man squad is named for the T20 world cup:

- Rohit Sharma (vc),
- KL Rahul,
- Suryakumar Yadav,
- Rishabh Pant (wk),
- Ishan Kishan (wk),
- Hardik Pandya,
- Ravindra Jadeja,
- Rahul Chahar,
- Ravichandran Ashwin,
- Axar Patel,
- Varun Chakravarthy,
- Jasprit Bumrah,
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar,
- Mohd Shami.
Apart from this three standby players are also named in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Who is Hosting ICC T20 World Cup
This year the world cup hosting country is India. But, due to the prevalent covid-19 situation in India the tournament is shifted to Oman and UAE in four venues.

- Dubai, (UAE)
- Abu Dhabi, and(UAE)
- Sharjah.(UAE)
India will face Pakistan on its first encounter on 24-october-2021. This will be an interesting encounter to watch for. As, entire cricket fan base all over the world love to see India vs Pakistan match.
